Prof. Dae-Duk Kim
Professor Dae-Duk Kim is faculty member of the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University. He received his B.S. degree from Pusan National University and M.S. degree from Seoul National University. In 1995, he was awarded his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey in the USA. He then worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Washington in Seattle. He was a faculty member of the College of Pharmacy at Pusan National University until he transferred to his current position at Seoul National University in 2003. His research focuses on the optimization of diverse drug delivery systems to maximize drug efficacy and minimize toxicity. His research topics include particles for controlled and targeted drug delivery, oral dosage forms for controlled release, and transdermal/topical delivery of drugs and cosmeceuticals. He has published more than 190 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals, and has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Pharmaceutical Investigation. Currently, he is serving as the President of the Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (KSPST).
